Huarakau - Te Reo Maori Term 4

We have been learning the names of fruit in Maori. Here are some we have learnt.

Pirate Code

First we coded a Pirate to the treasure chest with out getting bombed. Then I made my one by myself.

telling the time

This week Team Awa learnt how to tell the time on a clock.

Vaseline Saucers

This term Team Awa made Vaseline saucers for pet day. We made both sides  the same . I used yellow and purple on my Vaseline Saucers.

Christmas tree

 Today Team Awa were making Christmas poems. We sketched a Christmas tree then we put some words about Christmas. Then we made a poem . I hope you like it.

term 4 art

One was inspired by an artist named Kadinsky who used coloured circles in his work. We looked at the contrast between warm and cool colours and the black and white of the buildings.

Our second piece was using the Maori words we have learnt and using these to create a visual picture. The words become the shape of the picture.

One thing I did well was background and the building.

One thing I could improve on is writing neater.
