Basic Facts Term 2

We have been working on answering basic facts questions quickly and instantly.

I am at Stage 4.

Animal Town

This week we have used another picture as motivation for our writing. We had a story starter
and then we had to carry on the story.

What I like about my writing is week was that I could write about the animal I was. .

I need to improve on getting spelling correct.

Here is my writing about Animal Town.

In Animal town I am the King of all the animals because I am a lion and lions
are king. I tell everyone what to do and every animal is under my command.

I am rich and I have more gold than everyone. I get furious if an animal     
doesn't do as I say. They’ll get kicked out of animal town. My big strong
animals guard my castle so that no one comes into my castle.

Golf

We have been learning to hit the ball on the target

I liked hitting the ball.

I am good at hitting the ball

I need to work on getting the ball off the ground.

My hot air balloon

This week we have used a picture as motivation for our writing. We had a story starter and then we had
to carry on the story. What I like about my writing is the description.

I need to improve on my spelling. We also made a google draw showing the things that we would take
with us in on the balloon.

I have packed a sleeping bag. I am excited to go in a hot air balloon. I am going
around the world. I am racing to get $ 1,000,000 .I can't wait to get to the finish
Line and win $1,000,000.  I will buy a monster truck and then a jeep to go out
hunting with my dad. I hope I don't get Cloud Sick. I can’t wait to go to some
countries. I hope I go to Australia. I brought a map so I know where I am going.

In Australia, snakes bit our basket and scratched it with their fangs. Woohoo!
I can see the finish line. Yay! My crew won and we got $1,000,000. We were
full of joy and we held the $1,000,000 up in the air.

The Pou

As part of our writing programme we have been doing environmental writing. We had to sketch an object and as we were sketching we wrote down thoughts that we had. Then we wrote our thoughts down  as a poem. We cut out the sketch and added this to our writing.

Mother's day

This week in Writing we wrote about how special our mums are. Here is my published writing about my wonderful mum. Happy Mother’s Day!

ANZAC writing

This week we have been learning about ANZAC day. We have to write a poem and a postcard . Here is my postcard.

ANZAC DAY

Dear Mum

I had to travel to a different country on a boat .It was big and white. You have to fight with guns  and it is dangerous. Many people have died. I am scared and worried about the bullets flying about me.I wish I was not here. Love Andrew
